Earthship Florida Project and ECO-TECH Construction are hosting 3-day weekend workshops for individuals, homeowners and building professionals to learn more about the products and techniques being incorporated into the Earthship Florida home. Attendee’s get the chance to learn, hands-on, the latest "GREEN" technologies on the market and how they can incorporate them into their own home or business practices.
Each Workshop begins Friday evening with an opening orientation and dinner with the Earthship Florida Project General Contractor, Bryan Roberts of ECO-TECH Construction. Early to bed because Saturday morning begins bright and early with breakfast.
Hands-on learning takes place while you work alongside the Earthship Florida Project construction crew in the actual build of the home. After a healthy lunch, you’ll hear from leading experts in their fields about the latest and most important facts on green building, sustainable planning, and ecological design, costs and technology. Your day will end early enough to enjoy some of the Florida sunshine by visiting the beach or trying out some of the local fare.
Make sure and get your rest because Sunday morning will begin bright and early again with breakfast. More hands-on building of the actual Earthship followed by more learning sessions with special guest speakers. Each day ends with a Q&A session with the Earthship Florida Project General Contractor, Bryan Roberts, and each guest speaker. They will be ready to answer any of your questions to help you get the most out of your experience with us.
Each Earthship Florida Project Workshop attendee is presented with a Certificate of Achievement upon completion along with a free pass to tour the finished Earthship at the end of the build during our Earthship Home Open House.
The cost to attend all three days is only $300 per person or $450 per couple. This includes all workshop materials, dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Water and snacks are also made available to workshop participants throughout the weekend. The costs also cover restroom and shower facilities for participants.

Earthships are made out of recycled materials, such as tires and soda cans.
Earthships catch water from the sky and use it up to four times.
Water is heated from either the sun or by natural gas, but they can have city/county water as a backup water supply.
Earthships produce their own electricity, but can have multiple energy sources such as solar and wind-generated energy. The energy is stored in batteries and supplied to electrical outlets in the home.
Earthships contain and reuse all household sewage in indoor and outdoor treatment cells. The waste is used for food production and in landscaping.
Earthship toilets flush with greywater that does not smell.
Because of the way they’re built, Earthships maintain comfortable temperatures in any climate.
